In the Scriptures innocent blood being shed is not only forbidden but it requires justice. God, who is rich in mercy and grace, calls for capital punishment on anyone who sheds innocent blood. And as the world has grown much colder toward God, especially in our country, we see innocent blood being shed routinely but with no real justice. But justice will be served one day and it's in our best interest to seek the forgiveness of God and His grace and mercy now with respect to all sin so that in that day we will be found to have been redeemed and forgiven.
